Big Cats

Large felines (lions, tigers, jaguars and leopards) were a popular theme in Roman mosaics all over the Empire. So today’s post is a photo essay of mosaics with big cats.

Wow! That was more than a moment of mosaic. Amazing work. Vancouver Islanders are fortunate to have their own large felines. Cougars are seen fairly often on our property . . . a little further back in the woods and once on Echo Drive by the mailbox. I have been fortunate enough not to have had that experience, yet.
    Thanks Margo.
