A mid-NaBloPoMo break. I&#8217;m making up my own rules. We will now resume your regularly scheduled blogging experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Saturday&nbsp;night I&nbsp;went to a comedy club. There were moments of laughter from the warmup guy but the main comedian&nbsp;had rage issues. He was heavy on the loud rants and light on the laughs. With an undercurrent of bitterness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">We left the comedy club feeling a bit beat-up because, really, that guy dumped his stuff on us. We were looking for levity and got heavity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">It got me to thinking about comedians. When Robin Williams committed suicide, I remember a lot was said about the things that fuel them. I think Willaims could&nbsp;rage sometimes about things during his standup comedy, but he made it funny. The difference between talent and no talent. And an ability to know when to lighten up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">I was going to find other angry comedians who were funny but when I googled comedians looking for examples, I found Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and spent&nbsp;a half hour watching two episodes. So no time left for writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Now here it is your moment of mosaic. A 2nd century AD theatre mask mosaic from the Capitoline Museums in Rome. I&#8217;m not sure which mask is supposed to be comedy.
