What did I do tonight instead of writing a thoughtful and well-written blog post?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well I made mac and cheese, and banana bread from scratch. Mmmm, comfort food. I didn’t get to the grocery store, and the fridge was low on supplies. Luckily the freezer was helpful and I had frozen bacon and found 3 overripe bananas I’d stuck in there a while back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bread crumbs and bacon sprinkled on top made the mac and cheese one of the best I’d ever made, even if I do say so myself. While I take credit for the making of the dish, the addition of bacon idea came from my son. I resisted at first but then gave in to the genius of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, if I go to all that trouble and the oven is on, well a dessert must be made as well. The banana bread was warm and moist. Good supper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow’s topic: How I went to the gym to burn off comfort food calories instead of writing a decent blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
